Hi Tony

Could have been me (X28 SAH, Chameleon colour) just popped over from Lutterworth for some ski gear! However I did see another Tuscan parked up just off the main high street in front of some offices (very light pale blue colour)

Just got the car back on the road after a nightmare of a time! (Engine rebuild after only 3,500 miles, all sorted with a 2003 spec rebuild by those great guys at TVR Power. Just completed the 1000 mile run-in and then suffered a major fuel leak from the front end!!!! followed by the car being broken into whilst at the garage in Birmingham having the fuel leak repaired and the stereo and pod being ripped out (bast**ds), followed by a little issue I found when I got home from my trip to L' Spa the other day - the accelerator sticks full on!!!!!!!!!!

Back to TVR Power and then Blackpool to hopefully have everything repaired/fixed!!

I keep telling myself it's worth it, it's worth it...

Bigstu,

How much was the re-build ? Did they re-build to the 2003 Red Rose engine spec ie latest Tuscan S ? Why did it need to be re-built ?

Hope you get it back soon, will definitely be worth it...

Cheers
Whitey

The engine rebuild was covered by the warranty and was to the latest 2003 red rose spec! I think the total cost for the rebuild was somewhere in the region of £6.5k!! and I still have no idea what eventually went wrong with it (lots of very louds bangs, nasty engine noises and zero power!) but being under warranty they don't give you all the details

Although I've had no end of troubles with the car since buying it in june it's just one of those things and it certainly hasn't put me off the beast. The engine is running like a dream now I've completed the 1000 mile run-in, just need to get all the repair work done on her now (you can't even get out of the car without using the door switches on the mirrors!)

I can't say enough good words about Dom and his guys at TVR-Power! customer service at it's best and someone that really cares

Tony - I probably wasn't me in L'Spa you saw then - still got most of my hair
