anyone else? Re-trimming etc...
Discussion
My car is a 2000 and still has the integrated window winder/door opener as opposed to the door openers near the radio, also has the mirror control's in the 'original' position, it all works fine and although I bought my car from and have it maintained by a main dealer they assure me that there are still a number of cars that remain like this. I thought that should I decide to sell the car privately these may be a issue to a prospective buyer.
What do you think? What sort of cost to 'upgrade'?
Further on the issue of re-trimming, I have not been able to get an idea of cost to have flock etc. replaced with lamonta up at B'pool, so I am today visiting a specialist in Enfield to have the rear parcel shelf leather looked at. He also mentioned that they work with alcantara and I am curious about the cost of having the flock replaced on the roof and door panels (possibly seat 'squabs'sp?) so will let you know, off the bat would anybody else be potentially intrested in having this done?

yep, that was me, I had the original door panels without the extra leather/amblia strip along the top of the panel. I wanted the extra strip, and through my dealer the factory said they would do it for £150. So off came the door panels and they were sent off to the factory for a couple of weeks. They had actually totally re-trimmed the door panels and added the extra strip ! Looks much better. That was in amblia/flock, I'm sure leather would be more expensive !

Got my doors done earlier this year and upgraded to the later style. The factory could not find any lamonta that matched the rest of the interior so mine I have been done in leather. Now don't copying me, as the factory said mine is only Tuscan with leather door interiors!
They could not deflock the roof panel and cover that in anything as there is a slight difference between it (a Mk 2) and the Mk 3 roof design in terms of finishing the edges of the lining material off. Of course, an independant trimmer may see/say things differently. I think my retrim was getting on for £300 but that included the headlight upgrade too in the price - so £175 sounds about right.

Got a price for recovering the rear shelf, door panels and roof in alcantara, £350.
Doesn't seem too bad and i would have the car back the same day, loads of colours to choose from but with resale in mind i think i should play it safe, leather is ocean green so thought might go with black or a contrasting jade green.
