getting better ?
Discussion
As with any new TVR model, over time, the factory learns to build them better and the dealers learn to re-build them and service them better. So generally, out of the factory a later build of a model will have less little bits and pieces needing corrected from new. As such it is seen as better build quality.
Also the Speed 6 engine although still in development does seem to be getting more reliable.
IMHO the overall build quality of TVR's has not changed over the last 6 years. The same stupid simple problems like poor quality paint and trim keep appearing.
TVR's are very reliable, just high maintenance.
Get a good dealer and as long as you have plenty of patience you will be fine.

Ive had two brand new m3 is the last 8 months, first one was replaced by bmw as it went back 5 times in two months some major some minor! the fun of a new car was out so swapped it again for a tuscan and done 3000 miles in the last month and a half, the cars got 7500 mile on a 51, and from what i know its all original! so in the end all manufactures tend to have some problem cars!

is the tuscans patchy reliability getting better with 03 cars
IMHO, it surely is, 2 years ago this site was absolutely full of moans and groans, including myself. Now, sod all! in comparison. TVR seem to be making progress and as a first time owner I believe the factory are at last making progress.

The cynic in me would say that tuscan reliability couldn't have gotten any worse, so they must surely be getting better!! .. however new cars will always seem more reliable than older cars because they've had less time to go wrong of course.
In reality, if you have doubts then don't buy one, 'cos you'll only be upset when it does go wrong for you. If however you love the looks, the performance, the sounds, the nimble handling, the admiring stares from young and old alike and the good old feel-good factor of driving a rare and desirable sports car then buy one - if it goes wrong console yourself with a few drinks in the bar whilst thumbing through the Noble catalogue ...
IMO of course .

I have been wondering how reliable Nobles are. I know they have nothing like the volume of TVR, and I would suspect they are being bought by a different market (more weekend specials thant TVR). Or is that not the case? Should I have posted this somewhere else?
