My driver's seat is knackered (the side support is snapped)and its a back to the factory job to get it fixed. My dealer is telling me that's a week or 2 without the car. So.............

....has anyone ever tried swapping the driver and passenger seats over. I realise the seat belt fixing would need to swap over but there seems to be a bolt on both sides and I also realise the the mechanism underneath is different, but can it be done? The dealer said it cannot.

I haven't asked how much yet, but its not going to be cheap! If anyone has a Portland Grey Leather Tuscan Drivers seat for sale I'll have it. it will probably be cheaper!

I had the same problem

andy at APM took my drivers seat out, had the side support welded and looks just like new

he did it in a day and it hardly cost anything to have fixed

the factory lost my passenger seat while getting some dodgy stitching repaired under warranty.

They found it after 4 weeks in a box "somewhere" in the factory.

Never mind was only without the car for 6 weeks.

Adrian

Take scotty's (all black) advice - his looked like a new seat once Andy at APM had fixed it

...book it in for a week or so's time and you can give me a lift down to pick mine up (and you get a lift back to London for your trouble!!)

His number is 07740 723673 - just see if he can do it once my Cerbera is finished, and we'll be laughing

Hi Sean

sounds like a good idea, I'll give them a ring, when's your beast going to be ready?

Hi mate

sorry for delay - emailed you offline so forgot to come back here for a look. My car should (!) be ready end of the week, so possibly could do Saturday morning (earlyish, as there's quite an important rugby match on at 1pm!!).

email me or call (if you've got my number) to let me know whether this is an option#

cheers
