Coming back from Italy last Sunday (been to drool at the exotica around Modena) saw and tried to chase a convoy of Brit registered cars. A black Tuscan S, blue/green S Series, couple of Porkers and a drop top Ferrari 355.

Anyone on here? Or are you still laughing at the mini that was weezing up behind you?

(And did the Italian bag of bolts make it back?)

Guilty I'm afraid. I was one of the drivers of the S2 on a tour of France, Italy, Germany and Belgium.

We drove some of the most spectacular roads I've ever seen. As well as the Simplon Pass, we also drove the Furfapass and Grimselpass, visited Monaco and drove the Nurburgring - breathtaking!! The whole holiday reminded you how good driving could be and why we're all so enthusiastic about cars.

Also pleased to report that the S2 gave 2,500 fault free miles and the Tuscan only blew a fuse for the windscreen wipers (we had taken the bonnet off and were considering removing the wiper motor before we discovered that however - doh). Sorry to say that the Porkers were there usual reliable self!! Even the Ferrari didn't miss a beat, though the good old S2 gave it some surprises when we were still large in it's rear view mirrors when he planted his pedal to the metal.

Still living on the adrenaline rush at the moment!

If you're wondering why the 'disappointed' handle, I'm afraid I'm one of the Tuscan owners who's car has suffered the whole range of reported problems and it's been off the road for 18 months. Ho hum.

Blimey - 18 months - is this a record? No wonder you're disapointed - when do you hope to get it back?
Cheers, Paul
