Replacement battery
Discussion
After 3 years and 17,000 miles the battery appears to be on its way out and losing charge...so I'm on the hunt for a new one.
I think the model number for the Tuscan battery is an E672 - but can anyone confirm what the cold cranking capacity of the battery should be too please? Do TVR still use Fulmen batteries?
Also, and I have done a search for this, will the alarm start as soon as I disconnect the battery and of so, is there a workaround for this (please DO NOT post the solution on here if there is indeed one - email me off line instead!).
TIA

The alarm should start to sound as it will notice the voltage drop, but surely using the alarm fob to turn it off would work? I am only guessing, but I would HOPE that it works that way!

PS - Didn't think this was such a secure piece of information that it needed sending off line

Thanks - hope it works otherwise it is cotton wool in the ears and blushes in front of the neighbours.
Anyone got any details on the battery? I know Costco do E672 but.....I remember chasing around looking for a battery for my old Chimaera. There were different cranking capacities available for the same size (Range Rover?) battery. Only the dealer could supply the exact requirement.
Help anyone?

Put the steering on full lock, get in the passenger front wheel arch and remove the battery cover, the cranking rate and model number should be on a label on the battery - no need to remove it (if they fitted it the right way round) so only 3 bolts (I think) to remove on the cover

The original on mine was a Tungsten HD, which I think was around 700 CCA. The nearest I could find (as I was in a rush) was from Halfords but the mounting flanges were different so I had to improvise. It wasn't any cheaper than the main dealer in the end. The Bosch at Costco is a lot smaller capacity.
