My Tuscan drivers seat keeps slipping back when I put on the power, pretty embarrassing when you are showing off to find all of a sudden you are sitting on the parcel shelf and lost all control of any pedals as you feel 2 feet shorter, usually happens as you want to zip on to a roundabout to find you have lost all your zip and the allegro you pulled out in front of is laughing at your predicament. How do I get the seat out to adjust? All I can see so far is the simple velcro seat pad and the rest seems difficult to get at from the front or rear!

If you want to lift the whole seat out, which is bolted to the floor, there is(I think) 4 nylocked nuts under the car which you will need to undo !

PS. Must be a bit dangerous driving like that, if you cannot fix the seat, maybe you could sit on a beer/milk crate

Clive had the very same problem with ours, embarrassing yes, potentially lethal, no fun for the passenger definately. Trick is to firmly push adjusting bar down once seat is in position and then give seat a good wiggle back n forth to make sure it's locked in. As a shortarse I have to do this with most cars and must be doin it right with the tuscan as I've not had the seat misbehave under me yet! Neither did Clive once he'd adopted this method. If that don't work there's always the dealer!

My first pushbike was so big in relation to me, my father fastened wooden blocks to the pedals

Nice One thanks J of C&J it works a treat, its as well not to wiggle the seat back and forth whilst you have a bloke sat next to you as car rocks a bit suspiciously as if you are doin soemthin else!!!!!!!
Pushing down the bar did the trick simply and effectively. Cheers again

I had this all the time - foot down and fly back in the seat, then Kangaroo out of the petrol station with a big red face!!!

I lifted the seat out, added some 6mm spaces to the front floor bolts under the seat track, this stopped the ratchet being held out by sitting on the carpet. It had the added benefit of slightly increasing the seat rake which I personally like. The seat has not let me down yet!
