I am sure this has been done to death so i apologise in advance. Can the standard 4 ltr engine be chiped or tuned?
ie.the tamora boys seem to be going for a 400bhp option i know this is a 3.6 engine and i have driven one and in standard form it is less than impressive. So i can see why tvr offer the option.
What is the difference between a S or RR spec engine is it mechanical or is it in the mapping of the ECU.
I am just curious thats all.
PS> Tamora driver's dont take offence that's just my opinion.

TVR Have never put a 400BPH engine in a Tamora, I have been told this from the Factory!.

I'm still trying to find out if the 3.6 is avaliable in 400 format, but I know it is avaliable in a 375 format!. Im looking to get a 400 BHP tamora.

It's not just chipping, all the internals are changed and the induction and exhuasts. £4k's worth...

Call it Red Rose if you like

Is a cry for more power really a need for better driving skills?

They're complementary. There's no such things as too much power until it wheelspins in ever gear. In the dry. :-)

jigs i used to drive a 928 skinny tyres, bad brakes, weighs nearly 2 tonnes and the world's worst gearbox. Believe me my friend any tvr is a pussy cat.I am just looking for something a bit more interesting.
You obviously want to join the tuscan fraternity as you can't keep away, maybe we could have a whip round so you can trade up.

The Tuscan RR & S have different engine internal's ie crank, cams etc so to upgrade a standard 4 litre the cost would be quiet significant. It might be worth giving TVR a call to see what they can offer.

If you can't do it with 350 - 360 bhp in a car weighing just over the metric tonne another 40bhp is hardly gonna help IMO.
My stable already contains four classic cars so the Tuscan will have to improve with age to get in someday. The limiting factor is it's current reputation and desirability not my funds!
Thank you for the offer anyway.
