For the last few days my display has been showing this warning (along with the associated 'beep'). The speedo (both readings) has also failed, the tacho is jumping all over the place (9500 rpm) so much so that Racing Green deactivated the changeup lights! Also, reading for other measurements also seem to jump around a lot (eg temp might vary by 10 degrees every other second).

Dealer tells me that it is likely that the POD has failed and that it is a back-to-factory job!! ANOTHER week without my car...sigh!

Could be one of the Lambda sensors has got water in it, did the problem start after you washed it? As this is quiet a common fault, but usually clears itself.I would take it back to your dealer if the warning persist as these small problems can lead to major issues.

Sorry, let me get this right, you have a consistent EFI warning, you took it to the dealer who disconnected the change up lights (I assume to stop them flashing and getting annoying), they told you the pod needed returning to TVR to be fixed and you decided against this and drove the car away? And now you are complaining that it still needs fixing?

Have I missed something here? Is there a question involved?

If the question is "What should I do?" then the answer has already been given, get the pod fixed by TVR!

Maybe I have missed something, but I am a bit confused as to the point of this posting??!?!?!

Graham,

Yes you missed something!! My pod has been behaving badly but not seriously over the last few weeks. When I collected my car after having the engine rebuilt by TVR (and not having had the car for about 2 months!) the dealer mentioned to me that the changeup lights were like a Christmas tree (because the tacho was jumping around) and so they disconnected them.

They said that it was likely that the pod have impending failure but as everything else was working AND I had just got my car back I drove it away.

Some weeks later the speedo has failed and then day after there was a constant EFI fault. I called the dealer who told me that it was pod failure. I have booked the car in for repair (another week plus) although after 2 days with the efi fault it has now cleared!

I hope that makes sense??!!
