As a possible avenue has anyone ever used a second hand engine instead, say from an accident damaged car or insurance claim?

If so where would one get this and how much would it cost?

"Heightswitch" has a Speed six engine,he was talking about putting it in a TR6 (i think) he was struggling as TVR wont release some docs.

might be worth dropping him a line
