Rain causing problems.
Discussion
I'm a new owner, had a brand spanking new Tuscan Speed Six 4.0 for three days.
What the hell is up with the car not liking the rain ????
Whenever it rains the car won't idle. If I leave the car for more than an hour or so in the rain it won't idle and just dies.
I have to rev it a little to get it to start and then white smoke pours out everywhere as it coughs and splutters all over the place.
In the dry its as smooth as butter, in the rain, its a liability.
What can I do ? I have to blip the throttle whenever I come to a junction to stop it from stalling. Everyone looks at me (more than they would normally in a Tuscan!) as if to say "look at that twat revving his car up".
Anyway, what can be done ? If I can't drive the car in the rain then I have two choices, move to mexico or go back to driving an Audi S6.

Quite. You'd think that the one thing these cars could (or should) cope with is rain and traffic jams.
You know it makes an interesting conundrum. For the price of the car I could have bought a lovely property in rural france. Of course I'd have to move soon since all the English morons are buying houses in europe like mad, fuelled by the medias obsession with property, which is pushing prices up over there as well. Then sold my house in this country to some idiot for a hugely inflated price, bought a lovely car in france and lived mortgage free and on easy street for the rest of my life.
I'm a web designer so I can easily work from anywhere.
Mmmm, now where is that article in What Car about how to reject a car.
Only kidding, but it makes you think.
Until then I'm stuck with shit weather, shit prices, shit government (though the rest of them are worse still), generally an all round shit country. Even british TV which used to be good is now a collection of property / ethnic programs (watch Channel 4 on Sunday midday, I can't believe it, its like we are living in bloody india - Enoch Powell was right) / repeats etc.
Sorry to rant, driving my car would cheer me up if it would f'ing start !!!

So did the dealer ever offer to fix this for you?
Just about everybody on here who buys a TVR new has a laundry list of niggles that get fixed on a return visit.
Food for thought.
The Bimmer M3 had a small percentage of engine failures, Porsche has had a few tranny failures, and early Modenas had major problems with their SMT's.
Get a Ginetta or a Noble!!
