I appear to have a rattle in the lift out roof panel...but only at certain times. Is the aerial in here in about the centre of the roof and could it have become loose. If so how do I access this little noisy gremlin?
It could be coming from one of the roof pins.Wind the windows down & see if you can move panel up & down on the pin.If it does maybe the cable needs adjusting so the pin goes further into the socket.

Nick, thanks for the thought, are the roof pins supposed to be spring loaded as mine just seem to sort of flop into place, without any tension whatsoever.
The roof pins are not spring loaded.The roof on mine has started to rattle sometimes on the passenger side when the side window is off the roof seal as there is a bit of play in the pin like it is not going far enough into the socket.
