New Coil and Leads Needed.. Help Please?
Discussion
Hi all
Had some remote diagnostics from Dom at TVR Power regarding the 6k plus misfire that my dealer could not diagnose. (Excellent bloke – answered my mail, sent 6pm, within 1 hour. I replied and he had answers / recommendation for me by 8.10am next morning!!!
After interrogating me as to symptoms and history of car Dom recommended Leads and Coil change, which brings me to the reason for writing…
1. Has anyone done this before and did it work?
2. Where can you get TVR bits other than a main dealer and do you need to know specs of parts?
3. Is a coil and lead replacement as easy as it sounds (used to do my own work when a wee lad, but haven’t got dirty fingernails since an XR3 engine swap 12 years ago)
4. Can 1 man safely remove the bonnet of a Tuscan.
All and any help gratefully received

any good motor factor should be able to help out with leads, plugs coil just make sure they are 100% compatible and good quality.order them if you need to.the plugs leads etc all live under a cover just make sure it goes back as you found it. the bonnet can be removed by one person as long as it is not to windy. but two is easier especially when you refite the bonnet. All that besides it not a big job go ahead, and good luck.
