My baby returns
Discussion
After 5 weeks at TVR power for rebuild, my baby is being returned to me tonight..can't wait...I've got a week off work to drive her from wednesday, things can't get much better.
Head gasket, valve guides, pistons & rings etc etc have all been replaced, plus throttle pots have been re-tuned...
Air con is now even supposed to be working.....
I'd forgotten what it is like to own and drive a Tuscan albeit having to keep revs low whilst running in components again..
Will be driving around North London tonight with a big grin on my face once more, and will post tommorrow on how well she is running? touch wood!!!

Drove around for two hours last night with roof off, big grin has returned.
Factory paid for engine work, and dealer has paid for all minor cosmetic repair work of which I had a list of, I wasn't expecting them too, so was a nice surprise..Plus dealer has agreed to pay for 1000 mile service..bargain..
Big thumbs up to TVRC, came up trumps and have really helped me thorugh this testing time...
A bit of praise for a dealer for once....

Glad to hear you've got the baby back and you've been peppered with fine after sales service from TVR!
Hope you have more luck when renewing the Tuscan insurance - am reading PH and the Yahoo! group today and seeing 4-fold increases being quoted!!! This is worrying me for my Tuscan puchase next year! I'm still a good 10 years off Saga!

ours is back hopefully this weekend ish, as long as everything goes right with engine and then refitting it. must admit, everyone has been exceptional from our dealer (henley heritage) to tvr blackpool and thank god for tvr power - Dom!! - all have done their best to get me a quick turn around - she's an everyday drive so miss her like mad, have a courtesy car from dealer so at least have some wheels, and hubby is off hook on chauffer duties - but a nissan does not compare,
if car is back will take hubbys car to bruntinghthorpe - first trip out, want to stay local, but its nice after all the bad press on rebuilds to say thankssssssss - can't beat a happy customer!!
any one else at tvr mania saturday??
