Self healing Tuscan

My June 2000 car has been suffering from misfire problems for a couple of months. TMS had a look and couldn't find anything wrong a couple of weeks ago when it was serviced. Last Sunday I started the car up and it was so bad it wouldn't hold tickover, and died when I tried to accelerate at all. I took it for a run, as needed petrol, and all of a sudden it cleared, and has been fine ever since. Seems as though there was a blockage in the fuel system that has finally shifted and the car is back to how it was when I bought it. I haven't a clue what it could have been as I don't know the layout of the fuel system.
I am much relieved, so if you are having problems it could just be something stupid.

on a different subject have you had any problems with your speedo and lcd display?

I had problems in my car after I had been driving in Spain after a couple of hours. Speedo became erratic at 120mph+ then packed up and then returned to normal after a stop. Happened a few times. Fault was cleared by a factory fix (new software I think)
