Has anyone whio has had a rebuilt engine been told of or given any information relating to the warranty offered on the rebuild. I am particularly interested in the warranty period.

I remember a member called Jedi writing that he had a 1 year warranty on his rebuild? I can't find an email address for him though.

The warranty from the factory expired whilst the engine was being rebuilt (at the factory). My dealer told me that the warranty after a rebuild from the factory is only 6 months. I said that I would not accept the car back with a 6 month warranty, so the dealer has agreed (in writing) to assume liability for the 2nd 6 months as a good will gesture.

Salty... Not sure Just that people I have spoken to have had diff lengh's quoted.

When I picked my car up, I wasn't told I had a warrenty with the engine rebuild, so does that means I get zero months???

In all honesty, it you treat your engine well and it goes pop again, i would say TVR would pick up the tab again as long as you have a 3rd party warrenty with say Carcare or WHA.

If not I will re-motgage the wife
