Just returned from a great day at Keevil. Thanks Simon.
However tried to remove masking tape from front end, arches and wing mirrors and have been left with Glue and tape everywhere. Does anyone have any idea how to remove this masking tape and glue, maybe a mild solvent that wont take the paint off??? Have tried the obvious hot soapy water but to no avail?? I enjoyed the day but a complete respray is not what I had in mind! Thanks in advance????

go in to any car garage(dealer or used car pitch) and ask them if you could have a bit of tar and glue remover.they should have some bribe them if you have to.

Autoglym Intensive Tar Remover - also good for stubborn nappies!

" No I don't have any stone chips, oh that's just sun baked masking tape, you can hardly see it from across the street"

Darrel at one point you nearly had my blue paint on the front of your car

Thanks to all....Half a gallon of meths (a cup full for removing tape and glue and the rest to drink from brown paper bag) and all residue removed.....Maybe with the top layer of paint??? Who knows as it was dark when i had finally finished and washed lovingly with soapy water. I will check the finish (or lack of when I return from Hull on Friday). Again thanks to Simon and Natasha's lot (and also to Simon the instructor for convicing me that it will go around corners at that speed)...
Cheers

Oops, bit late here. [womansrealmmode]Best option with anything sticky like this is to use the offending article. Slap another piece of masking tape over, and peel it off repeatedly until all traces are gone.[/womansrealmmode]
