I put a post having spotted this car up a couple of weeks ago!! Number plate said TASTY and looked really good!!

Great colour. Saw it blast off down the link roads from M2 Gillingham junction down towards tesco's. (we call that the bridge test !)

Exactly where I saw it, it did look good, but should've been topless.

Tony, interesting you mention the bridge test,,,i was brought up in Rainham and went to the school in Pump lane not too far from there.
Our benchmark was always the uphill part from the roundabout on the A2 at Tesco to try to get 90mph on the speedo with enough braking time to go round rather than over the first roundabout...basically the first part of the link road.
I tried this a few months ago with comparative ease and it was such a let down that this was always so much of a benchmark for what we once thought were fast cars.

I know the exact bit you mean!!

You went to Rainham Mark Grammar School I assume, then!? I live in Rainham myself, have done for 20yrs (I'm only 22 !!).

Problem with those beginning rdabouts is that they now have the anti-skid gravel tarmac type stuff - basically, no matter how fast you go round those rdabouts, you'll make it. We've MULLERED tyres on that stuff!!!

Our test is from the middle rdabout to the Savacentre rdabout, and it's how fast you are going as you go underneath the bridge halfway along. You have to drive up and down a couple of times first though to check for police on the bridge.

A good friend and I frequently go and stand on the bridge and have a "bridge fag".....many nice cars on sunday afternoons "play" on that road, so it's always fun to see.

They've just put crash barriers in all along the link roads - there's been a few serious (2 fatal) crashes in the past yr through cars (not being driven fast) going over to the other carriageway. Also, they've just resurfaced all the roads, so now they're SUPER smooth

I know the link road well, but it's been a few months since I've given it a real go, I must say now they've installed those crash barriers on both sides, the road really does seem to close in on you. I keep promising myself a proper early sunday morning blast along the M20, but never seem to get round to it. I've lived in Medway for the last 20 odd years, up at Hempstead now, havn't seen many TVR's.

I was in the area last xmas and did the second leg under the bridge.I took a family member out in my 996,
obviously that section was closed as a public road and used for private testing otherwise I wouldn't be so silly, but I do recall it was under 150mph.

I took my young nephew out later in the day,,,who must play quite a few playstation games...when we got back from a very subdued run he insisted we had overtaken ferraris and other porsches and had a police chase!!!
I got in trouble with his mother,,but I was impressed with the imagination of a 7 year old.

Saw TASTY the first time about a year ago, we blasted side by side through the Blackwall tunnel, me in my S2, then saw it again last week in Walldonway. Posted it up on here after the fun in Blackwall but the owner didn’t seem to be here then.

Oh so its you lot we can hear blasting past our garden
only kidding - we are in Hempstead and the other half often uses same said link road to warm the Tuscan up (GO TVR) Maybe we should have a Gillingham TVR drink one evening there's a few nice pubs just off that road - Spy Glass and Kettle, Flying Saucer or Wagon at Hale

Alas I don't have my TVR yet (looking into buying a Cerbera as we speak) - so I'm only in everyday yet ridiculously reliable Lexus IS200 at the moment - but a mini-meet sounds nice !

So.....where are all these TVR's then? I'm frequently in and around all these roads we speak of (me/my friends live all round these areas) and I never see you guys!!!

Oh....and if you ever see to guys standing at the top of the link road bridge having a fag, give a toot and floor it for us (ps....if the two guys are in a white van and holding a camera.....DONT...that's not us!!! In seriousness though, I've not seen police there for a very long time and if you take a quick drive up and down first then you cover yourself)

I didn't realise there were so many nice cars in Rainham

I'm in Hempstead too, and like the idea of a local meet / drink for some TVR blah blah. Need a half decent car park though, would suggest the Wagon or Spyglass ?.

POSH CAR drink it is

Perhaps maybe the manor farm beefeater at the bottom of maidstone road? Nice big car park (and I know people who work there, so might be able to get section cornered off if enough people so cars wont get scratched) and we could sit out on the newly made patio (which is a great place to sit and watch all the cars go by!)

Just a thought mind - I'll go with the majority on this one!!

Have we any idea of sorts of numbers !?

Me (TVR is forthcoming, but will turn up in Lexus)
Mr. T (Tuscan)
Clubsport (1975 Morgan and 993 RS) ??
Dipstick (Tuscan)
St. George (Tuscan) ??
Paul V (Mk1 Mini 850, TVR S2, Griff 500)

Anybody else anyone knows of !?

Perhaps what I might do is put a new thread into the general gassing forum, as this one's in the tuscan forum and so people may not see. I know there's a orange Countach that lives around here somewhere, it'd be nice to get him there.

Tony
