Discussion
Just wanted to say hi and introduce myself as a fellow Tuscan owner / owner to be.
The factory tells me that my car will leave this week, Friday at the latest, and will be at TMS before close of play on Friday. The waiting will finally be over, only to be replaced with more waiting while they PDI the car.
Any hints or tips on my first steps into ownership?

Welcome to the Club (Grin a mile wide club)
Adhear to the running in for the 1000 miles, and keep the windows open so your smile will fit in the car.
Check the fluid levels and once you have run the car in spend some time getting used to the power that is on tap.
Just enjoy it in the summer...

Good luck with it had my Tuscan S for 4 months love it its my 5th new TVR 3 chimps a Cerb and a Tuscan S.....anyway first 1000 miles run it in exactly as they tell check the oil water etc often.....roofs a bit tricky to master.....you will also notice the black paint under the wheel arches flakes off "ALL" TVRs do this if it bothers you a pot of Waxoil under body paint and a paint brush will sort.....other wise they are well sorted but remember they need TLC.

Thanks guys. I'm so concerned about taking time to get used to the car I'm having it delivered on the TMS truck to my house so I don't have to make its maiden voyage on unfamiliar roads. I'd rather wait until after 7.00 pm and then take it out for a very light spin (not literally though hopefully!)
One thing you might be able to answer though - How long should the PDI take, if TMS get the car sometime Friday afternoon?

Bienvenidos Amigo..welcome to the club. I will be an owner on Monday (can't wait). If you have not owned a TVR before or driven a car with similar characteristics (as if there is one) I can highly recommend spending some time with Ride Drive on one of their TVR Courses. I think they are great value for money and great fun, it will take months just to get the grin off your face. If you want more info mail me through my profile.

Hi UTO welcome to Tuscan ownership (well nearly) If the car is only arriving at TMS on Friday I doubt if you will get the car the same day as the PDI often takes sometime ,although from what I am told the build quality is much better now they will still give it a very good going over before they deliver it to you..Would also recomend you ask them to waxoil the chassis.
Have fun
Nick

Hi UTO ......yep, I had one for 3 1/2 years.I only lost about 10k after trade in, still not bad. I think the Tuscan wont lose hellish much, if I trade in for another later on...dont see any reason why not to
As for the code warnings...dont worry, it's a rainy day joke
My car lost £18k in value in 26 months, if the guy traded the car in it would have lost him £20k depn, so you will lose a lot. O and the car only had 5.6k on the clock...
PDI I reckon 2 to 3 days - ish.
So maybe next Monday Tuesday should be done.
Pedals take a few minutes to get used to, then it's ok.
Wouldn't worry about driving it in the dry.
In the wet.......when I had my first one 8 years ago I thought I could drive it the same, wet or dry, like my previous cars....I was wrong.
390 BHP through the back wheels, it's going to spin.
Might be 'slightly' faster than a TT....
