Tuscan S in nebula[?] black...I say!
Discussion
Had a quick snifter at H.L.Gorner's yesterday wherein, having reaffixed my gaping jaw after the brace of shocks represented by a pile of otherwise hugely esoteric and largely unseen Brabae variants and - get this - a simply extra-terrestrial Cerbera Speed 12 GT type beastie, I came upon a marvellous little collection of Blackpool rockers.
All the usual suspects were there, including a hugely fantastical last of the line, ever, honest guv Griff and a couple of nicely depreciated Tams (they do get more and more appealing every time I see 'em)...
But what pretty much stopped me dead was nothing less than an abject lesson in visceral aesthetics (if indeed, aesthetics can be such): THE most devastating thing I think I've ever seen, not just sporting the Trevor acronym but possibly, of any origin.
A brand spanking Tuscan S in the above mentioned finish. All I can say is "My God!"
Donckerwolfe or whatever he's called should stick to designing brick outhouses.
I have an awful feeling I could forgive a car which looked that STAGGERING an awful lot.
(And NO brassy switchgear either - )
Tuscan folk - salut!

Paul B! You canny swine, you! I'm delighhted you responded to this since I think the one you recently bought is possibly the classiest colour combo I've seen to date - very much a contemporary selection in keeping with the elegance and indisputable quality of mindset present within an ex-E-Typer such as your eminent self.
And Judas - the aggression of that frontal aspect is simply frightening: tremendous!
I seriously love this thing. Having seen that alu-dash really does it for me: I always had a problem with the brass stuff from Captain Nemo - this baby looked utterly potent and the interior was this time the perfect foil to that paint job.
Anyway, chaps, how're yours running? (Any decent tales of early morning bombing recces across N.York's more spectacular moors, perchance..?)

Sir Al,
It is quite gobsmacking...although how, or I suppose as significantly when, do you unleash the darn thing without being summarily arrested without hope of parole before even firing up those rear facing bazookoids?
You've gotta love that TVR paintshop: how the hell do they do match ups in the unthinkable event of, well, ahem, you know..? And hopefully not quite Lotus 340R type repair bills!
Just one query: I've noticed on a number of Tuscans where there appears to be a sizeable gap between the rear tyres and the arch - is this a standard adjustable factor or does it require a whole new set up? (Just wondered about general Tuscan handling issues/developments?)
Anyway - top notch - be sure to submit a preposterous speedo reading at the first oppo...
DeR.

Greetings and my most esteemeed compliments to you deristrictor. My favoured mode of vehicular transportation is humbled by the approval of a personage to whom such homage is correctly and regularly paid. Perchance twas abroad in her yesterday near the township of Northallerton in the fine and noble county of North Yorkshire when a vision of such extravagant loveliness appeared before me. Not one or even several but a plethora of such are the finest of Blackpool exports hove into view. For nine plus one miles my trusty steed conveyed me in their direction until I was forced by spousal doctrine to abandon them at the hamlet of Croft in order to undertake the very business that I had ventured abroad to persue in the first instance.
If you're not Deristrictor, I went out in my car yesterday, saw some TVR's, drove with them for a bit and was then forced to turn off by the wife who insisted we buy the fish food we'd gone out for.
