help with Tuscan??

I had a look at a very nice X reg tuscan this morning which was for sale prvately near where i live.

Can anybody advise

on a DEC 2000 / X reg car did you get a 2yr engine warranty ???

Is it normal for the engine to tick fairly loudly from start up, this one continued to tick audibly even when warm??

Yes - 2 years on the engine & gearbox - one year on everything else.

Yes - they all make a certain amount of mechanical noise, although less so when warm.

yep, but the other one has 1,000 less miles on the clock and it is £9,000 cheaper!!

if yours was the same price i would be interested!

I could get £31K from my dealer (he'd sell it for £36K). It's got all the right spec. and has just been fully sorted by the factory (including a full suspension setup to the latest spec. and an engine inspection where it was given the all clear).

If you're interested in the car & plate then you could make me an offer for the lot.

is that your 2nd Tuscan, i thought you had a pink one when they first came out?

what is to replace the current one then?

Yep - I had the 8th Tuscan off the line - the Pink one, we met up at J12 M4 last year going to a Powertours meeting. I changed it for a better (more expensive ) one in a slightly more subtle colour.

As for replacement, well we'll have to see (I'm keeping it to myself for now) - but I'll definitely have another TVR for the annual Le Mans trip....

aha, i remember now, yes we did meet up - was that for the first outing of the speed12 at Thruxton??

your dealer certainly seems to be looking after you, most seem not to want to buy any cars back for a sensible price, did you buy from hawthornes??

I am guessing you must be going for a S,R or Tamora then??

And I'm here thinking over and over to decide if I should spend the money to buy a little Vespa 50 s from the sixties!!!!
