Believe me there are also a lot of very happy owners, its just that it doesnt make for very interesting conversation. Its human nature to want to share your woes, believe me I'm the worlds worst. I will be straight on here gnashing my teeth when something goes wrong.

Yep sure is...I would say most owners are happy but clearly when something does go wrong it does no harm in sharing your problem. The thing I hate most is that there are a few people who post on here who are not owners of TVR's or Tuscans and think that they can slag off TVR....

I know people who own porkers & beemers and they have just enough problems as the issues on here.

Its the same old story...we Brits just love to knock our own products!

I've had my Tuscan for just over three months now. The radiator went after week one but was replaced under warranty. The drivers window occasionally fails to close properly. However I've done over 3000 miles in it so far and it is THE best buzz you can ever have and was the best move I ever made. No regrets whatsover - it is the business!!!

Depression? Get over it.

If you want to hear some fun, I wasted a Ferrari 355 on Saturday. He was trying to impress his passenger by pushing everyone out of the way on a fast A road. He than saw me, had me in his sights and started to act the fool, so I let him by. I then overtook him again within seconds which he wasn't quite expecting . That particular driver will have more respect for Tuscans in future - Tuscans are quicker and they rock! This is what its all about. ?

I'm not depressed either. I've only owned my Tuscan for about 6 weeks now but am loving it. There are a couple of negative threads around at the moment but, as said above, there does seem to be a bit of 'bandwagon jumping' going on.

Sunday was a fantastic day, blasting down to Pistonfest and back at slightly illegal speeds with the roof off. The Tuscan did about 27 mpg and entertained me, and several other road users, no end. What else could do the same?

Get out and enjoy them.

Does the smiley attachment signify that you have a single dangly earing? This seems to be slightly out of character with your "balls to the wall" approach to driving

In the 4 months I've had my car, I've covered 4x the miles I would have in my TT. So far all the problems I've had were minor niggles, most sorted by myself. A far cry from suspension and brake failure, on my last car!. What I love most about my car, is, the way the public seem to love it......even the ones who dont know what it is!. More than once, I've seen guys hold up their mobiles to let their pals hear it as we pass. And how many people would talk to me at the lights, if I was driving certain other marques? Yes, it's a shame that the S6 engine (and TVR ) have had many negative posts lately, but I will never regret buying this car, and it'll probably be the last thing that flashes by me, when the big man pulls my ticket

I'm only depressed because I can't have one in New Zealand!

What the Speed 6 needs is the development of being in the Tuscan Challenge (or rather T350C challenge).

This baptism of fire soon sorted the APJ8 engine - shame it's not being used elsewhere as it's a fabulous engine even if it's not as smooth as the Speed 6.

I still wonder if it's not the installation of the Speed 6 engine in the Tuscan that causes issues rather than the engine itself (early development issues aside). Perhaps the sealed engine bay and airflow over the top through the rads causes the underbonnet temperatures to get to the point that it affects the reliability of the engine? Just a thought. Has anybody bothered to have their failed engine examined by an independent engineer?

Let's face it the biggest problem here is the attitude of TVR/some dealers/warranty companies. People wouldn't mind so much if their engine went pop if it was replaced FOC within a couple of days.

Me slightly depressed as my car has just gone back to factory/TVR Power to replace worn valve guides..Not so depressed about the repair as the facory has said they wil cover the cost, more depressed about being without it for a month during the summer..

However the recent blast to Pistonfest last weekend has given me my happy fix for a while, but I am starting to miss the car, esp when the weekends come around...

I need my fix

Same old thing though - how often do you just hear the bad news? whilst the good news keeps quiet?

When was the last time you wrote a letter of complaint? - and when was the last time you wrote a letter of thanks?

I'm still very very very happy after three years 30,000 miles and 2 tuscans. Fantastic performance, fantastic value, and with the S not bad handling either.

On a tangent.....I am looking for support for entering a car into Le Mans next year.

I reckon if I can get two other people to buy an FX4 Black Cab with me we would have a great chance!

1) Driver change....Not a problem they travel in the back!

2) Fuel Stops..... Must be good for 12 hours solid running before re fueling!

3) Tyres......Real winner 1 set will go around the World 3 times!

4) Sponsorship......Get sponsors on board with the offer of no money up front, They just pay the Meter!!!

Just think how many cars dont finish, surely we would at least win best in class (if we can keep those kin Mini Cabs out!)

I have just been to Paris with the car. Fantastic !
This car is always big fun, even with some small niggles which can occur :
When I arrived in Paris on Wednesday evening, there
was a thunderstorm. The windscreen wipers suddenly refused to continue their work. It was quite difficult to drive in the city (rush hour), reading the map and at the same time looking through the raindrops.
On the way back home on the motorway it was easier, as the combination of Rain-X and an average speed of 100 mph works quite well in the rain.
I wouldn't accept this from any other car, but with the Tuscan I don't care. I just smile and go on.
Also the reactions of the French people were very positive. Even "les gendarmes" stopped me twice to have a closer look at the car...

Glad someone started this off, I was getting worried about getting the Tuscan out of the garage in anticipation of my engine going bang. I've owned mine for just over a year, done 4500 miles in it, not a lot I know, but in that time, I have been to Le Touquet and Belgium, where I even had the concierge standing by the car outside the hotel all day looking after it, his choice, and he had a bigger grin on his face than even I did !!. Everytime I open the garage door, it makes me think, "that is the nuts", and that's before I start it. Had a couple of niggles to date, which Waldonway have been more than happy, and very quick to sort out. Bring on the weekend.
