Engine Warranty
Discussion
I'm not a gambling man but even I will give you great odds on that happening - NOT!
PS Was told that PW has a chronological chart on his office wall detailing every SP6 engined TVR - if you stand outside his door long enough you can hear a cheer if/when one crosses the two year line without a warranty claim! PW doesn't cheer too often!

TVR do provide extended warranties. Your dealer may not be aware of this – mine wasn’t. Call the factory and ask for the warranty department. I don’t know what they charge to extend just the engine warranty but they were very helpful when I contacted them.
My Tuscan will soon be a year old and although the engine is covered for two years, I’m going to take out a TVR extended warranty on the rest. The factory quoted me £1,000 + VAT. This is quite expensive compared to a warranty from a company like Warranty Holdings, but it’s equivalent to the one you get when the car is new (with the exception that paintwork is not covered). Whereas most other warranties you can buy are not totally comprehensive and have claim limits. If I have the same amount of niggles fixed next year as I have this year I will definitely come out ahead on the deal.

Ask you dealer about the 'Car Care' cover that has just come out, it now covers 'Wear and Tear' on all vehicles under 3 years old, so I'm told.
£500 + IPT, Just bought one...
Do they have a website? I'd be interested in findin out some more. I asked my dealer about Car Care. They said they are a lot less hassle to deal with than Warranty Holdings.
However, I'd just had a few bits of work done on my car which the dealer said would only be covered by TVR's warranty and other warranty companies wouldn't pay out on. (e.g. light lens coming unbonded from the body, faulty brake light switch)
