Just dropped my car off at Hexham HC for a 12,000 mile service. Things looked bad when 5 mins after setting off the passenger side windscreen wiper stopped working (probably unclipped itself) so the other half was looking through rain for 2 hours.
Anyhow HHC had managed to procure the whole history of my car from Harrogate so I know everything that has been done to it. Much of the work seems to be done via warranty and seems to be the niggles that many have posted here (water leak, misaligned boot, valve clearances...etc...etc.. far too many to list).
Car seems to be going well and no rebuild so far so can't complain, previous owner seems to have been fanantical about the car (got it AA'd back to garage as soon as EFI warning light cam on!!!) so seem to have bought a good un.
Pod seems to have been back a few time for LCD crashes but still goes haywire over 90/100. HHC reckon it could be on an old speed sensor and they could put a new one on for around £100 which would solve the problem - is this worth it? Or should I just grin and bear it?
Finally is there anything else I should ask them to do as an inherent part of the 12000 mile service and valve/shim adjustment?
