Windscreen just gone, so no Pistonfest tomorrow more importantly can anyone recommend a reliable company in the SE London/Kent area who have replaced Tusc screens before and done a good job.

Autoglass taking care of ins claim, I just pay excess to them. They assure me their 18yrs exp fitter can do the job and the glass is exactly what dealer orders for themselves. It's bkd in for this Thurs and going to Tivs Pasties Fri, so really close. Autoglass assure me that I can drive car length of country and it wont cave in - they said only the outer shell is cracked and will travel, but the bonding , middle and rear of glass will hold it against a house brick thrown at it!!!!I'm still really worried.........
Why me???

Just a stone at bottom of passenger side. About 8inch semi-circular crack. Didnt even hear it hit. Although I have been told it is safe to use I am still wary.

I had a similar experience in my (import)TT Supra just out side Glasgow and drove down to the south coast now bearing in mind that import screens are weaker?? than EU screens (sounds like Autoglass BS to me)as long as its lamanated which it is it would not stop me from going to PF (if a could go anyway!!) GO dont worry TONY
p.s remember my window problem? well i stuck my fingers in between the glass and brush type seal which sticks on to the inner edge of the door frame to "lube"it all up and found out its held in with self tappers que lots of blood and swearing you have been WARNED

Hi Lee,
Spoke to Walldonway this morning. They rang Blackpool who are despatching a screen straight away. If you need yours doing I would sort something asap as there is a shortage of Tusc screen apparently because Blackpool are only building 350's at the moment.

Autoglass are sending a fitter to Walldonway on Weds. Walldonway prefer this as it means they have mechanics on hand to assist if necassary. I must admit it gives me more piece of mind that the fitter will be careful. All being well and good I should have the car back Weds evening. I will email and let you know how I got on. Fingers crossed.

After all the heart breaking posts recently re the engine, it is a relief to report some good news. Basically Autoglass and Walldonway have done exactly what it says on the tin,ie between them they have got a screen from Blackpool and fitted it with no problem to me all within 3 days and done a perfect job. They even sorted my ins out. All I had to do was drop it off and collect it. So lets remember, whilst there are difficult unhelpful people out there I personally can't praise Walldonway service and in this instance Autoglass highly enough. Many many thanks, great job and no hesitation in recommending both.
