TVR Warranty

I have just purchased a 2000 Tuscan from a TVR main dealer. It had the engine rebuilt about 1000 miles ago and has still got the warranty on the engine until Nov 2003. It also comes with a one year warranty from the dealer and i was wondering if the warranty is worth the paper it is written on.

Also I will not be thrashing it until the engine is fully warmed up and i will check and replace the oil regularly but was wondering if anyone has any other tips on how i could prevent these apparently fragile engines from going pop.
