I spoke with Natasha at MS Events this morning. Can you believe it, after all this effort there are only 16 Tuscans booked up for the 14th July !!!!!!

I need to know NOW if any of you that have not yet signed up are still contemplating going, this before they have to open it up to other TVR's

PLEASE, PLEASE post now - or I will post on the TVR General Gassing and open it up to ALL TVR's

thanks people

Simon

Wife hasn't been very well following new addition to family, and haven't been straying to far from home over the last couple of weeks. If she is able to drive by the end of next week I will be coming along. Sorry I can't give a definite yes/no now.

I am surprised as that means the 5 Tuscans that are coming in convoy with me make up a third of the field!! Wouldn't be very comfortable if it were opened up to rest of TVR's as clearly the focus was on Tuscans...
From the thread I thought we had certainly more than 20/25 going!

Alan I was certain that there was going to be more as well !!!

If it did open up up, it would be to other TVR's only so it wouldn't become a fairground - anyway Motorsport Events only welcome 'Gentlemen' drivers so there wouldn't be any conflict

It would however take the emphasis of the Tuscans, but you would still get all the Tuscan drivinbg skill info and the pleasure of meeting fellow owners

i don't see it as being the end of the world at all - you could be promoting the Tuscan to Chim owners!!!

I have also spoken to Ben Samualson re getting a T440R to the event - waiting for his reply!

(don't loose faith!)

Ok so we now have 19 booked on with MS Events. At this stage we either ask everybody for more money, to cover MSE costs or we have to open it up to other TVR's

At £120 it is a complete bargain, a track day is more than this and given that there is tuition as well, what can I say ?

I know either option is not that cool for you guys, (and it's certainly disappointing for me; we had 40 originally, admittedly in theory only!).....

But DO NOT PANIC
If there are other Tivs admitted, it is not the end of the world at all. Really!
I spoke to Natasha at Keevil today and they are letting 14 cars out at any one time and there is a huge amount of free space
So there really won't be a problem, even if there are mixed sessions, you can't even say that the Tuscans will be faster, an experienced 4.0 Chim owner will get round quicker than a new comer in their Tuscan

It will be the same thing in the end. Your there to learn about YOUR car, you will be driving your own line, and there isn't any competition, and there are strict rules regarding behaviour!!!!!

Post up any worries now, but please do not worry about this, it will be totally cool. We can paddock all the Tuscans in on line and you'll only be interested really in the Tuscan discussions only - that would be the same if there were three of you that turned up at any track day

Of course if a few more owners braved the distance and the fear of the unknown we'd be sorted......

(sorry guys!)

Just for info, how much extra would it cost if only 19 cars turned up?

While I'd rather it remained a Tuscan-only day, I don't have any problem with other Tivs being invited. I'd certainly rather have that than have the cost suddenly double

Simon,

Of the original 40 potentials how may have replied to you?

You must be pissed off with the effort you have put in! Either way other TVR's or money makes no differance to me. It will cost me more in Petrol there and back than doing the day anyway!!

PS Anyone else going from Manchester way?

No i'm not at all pissed off. It takes more than a couplke of set backs to do that. no it's just disappointing because it could have been THE TUSCAN DAY of the year, it probably still will be mind!
We have lost a bit of hype that would have gone a long way to getting a T440R on circuit for you guys to drive, and maybe a bit of press coverage.

But hey! Next time on T.D.S.D.II

All of that aside it will still be an oustanding event (as the Americans say)

T-Shirts is what we needs, T-shirts with 'Tuscans Live at Keevil' on them!

Come on peeps! I want a go of the T440R, so get booking and give Simon the ammo he needs to persuade TVR to let us play!
