Anyone changed the orange indicators on the front of their Tuscan to the clear ones?

I'm looking for idea of cost, where I can get the parts from and how long the job took.

I'm sure I could get my TVR garage to do it but that would cost me £80 labour plus parts...

Really easy(tools required irish screwdriver or similar and some form of glue)what you need to do is;bonnet off and you know where you change the bulbs take this off stick hand up remove bulbs ansillarys etc (might break in process sadly depending on amount of glue used at factory)take irish screwdriver(wooden end of hammer piece of wood or similar)and keep pushing until it comes out or breaks remove all bits of plastic clean what ever glue new ones in hey presto!

£380 to change the indicator lenses???? Blimey, that is steeper than vertical!

Are you sure they haven't quoted for a respray as well or something?

Nope

£62.00 +vat per indicator =£124.00 + vat
3 hours labour at £72.00+vat =£216+vat

Total £399.50 they said it might only take 2.5 hours!

Mine were £120 from a main dealer including the side indicators fitted & they even changed them a year later FOC as they were part of a bad batch of reflectors that went rusty.

TMS at Melton Mowbray Leicester, although this was nearly two years ago & as most dealers their labour rates now seem a lot higher and are now somthing like £67 + VAT per hour, but they only charged me one hour.

Slightly different but my Griff has "glass" clear lenses made from whisky tumblers. Cost, 75p i think. I did look at "clear frosty" but thought clear glass looked much better and matched perfectly the Hella lights.

Take it to your nearest opticians/optometrists and get contact lenses for it - bound to be cheaper!

Just phoned TMS and I must stay they have been very very helpful.

Apparently the Griff indicator set is only £14.49 each against the Tuscan at £62.49, and they are the same size diameter, but not so deep. So these should fit.

So that phone call saved me £95.00 in parts, and I'll fit them myself.

Well-done TMS

You've got the best, so why do people want to change wots perfect?
Even worse at such stupid prices.
Anyway, thought all this was meant for the 'teen corsa' brigade!

TMS have a kit on their site for Griffiths, Chimaeras or Cerberas with 2 fronts, 2 sides and orange bulbs for £59.88 incl VAT. Are these the ones TMS said should fit the Tuscan as well?
