I bought a year old Tuscan about 6 months ago.
The dealership made some upgrades before I took ownership, however, it seems to be more a case of they do them as and when I have a problem.
The BIG one is to make sure that the engine modifications have been made if they need to be as this can take a whole lot of time.
All of the modifications to date have been completely free of charge.
As far as a comprehensive list, I asked the dealership about this and they said that they couldn't/ wouldn't give me one.

Apparently there is no such thing as an 'engine modification' for the Tuscan. There were some engines built with duff finger followers but the factory has been replacing these with ones manufactured to the correct (original) specification.
Some time back I advertised my Tuscan for sale and had a couple of people ask me if I'd had the engine mods done. I've since had my car serviced at the factory. Whilst I was there I asked the factory about the engine situation and they told me the above (there are no mods), they also checked my engine over and told me there was no problems with it AT ALL.
But still I keep hearing people talking about engine mods......

quote:Perhaps I can help here (similar problem, same car). The engines that were rebuilt earlier this year will be slightly different from the "late 2001" engines. As far as I can gather apart from different valves and followers, the recently rebuilt engines have a differently profiled camshaft.

I must say that my car feels much smoother, some 1,500 miles after having a recent rebuild done. Run in again and having huge fun!!
