Recent trip to France ( and Valve Caps)
Discussion
Firstly, last week I took the car down to Cannes. I drove down during Monday and came back during Friday and not an electrical or mechanical hiccup all stay (although the glue sticking the rubber boot seal on was not too fond of the Med temperatures).
Everywhere I stopped I'd have people leaning in trying to take a look. On the autoroutes people were leaning out of their car windows trying to get a better look and were giving a thumbs up. Speaking of the autoroutes, these really are excellent, a far cry from the UKs under-funded motorways - very smooth and very empty.
Anyhow, I have kept the car in London for a year now and not had a problem from scroats. However, on the first evening down there someone felt compelled to steal my valve caps. Does anyone know where I can get replacements - I seem to remember reading on here that you could get some with grub screws to prevent this very thing.
Thanks all.

Dust caps with grub screws to help prevent theft are available from www.richbrook.co.uk
Alternatively, the silver dustcaps that TVR fit to the majority of cars from new, should be available from your dealer for appx 40p each. I bought a dozen as spares from TMS about six months ago and have only lost a couple so far.

I trust you had a good trip, I responded to your pore-trip post thus:
"Just got back from France yesterday having been to Cagnes-sur-Mer (between nice & Cannes). Its gonna be mighty hot when you get down - hope your air-con is up to scratch! Anyway, one thing you MUST do is take the Route Napoleon (N85) from Grenoble down to Grasse, fabulous road with some amazing views.
Pop over to Monte for a cruise round the circuit and watch your Tuscan turn more heads than anything else around - even my Chim!"
Did you get a chance to take in the route Napoleon? Amazing how much TVR's turn heads down there isn't it!

Yes - thanks for that. I didn't get to do the whole road due to time constraints but did a fair stretch. In fact, there were quite a few splendid roads. I didn't have the roof on so the aircon wasn't used much - this was fine as long as I wasn't stationary as 34 degrees is pretty uncomfortable otherwise.
It was amazing that so many people hadn't a clue what a TVR was, especially since there's a TVR dealership in Cannes.
