Hi there and welcome....

I have been sculking about on the forum for a little while since deciding to dive in and change the Audi TT for a Tuscan.

This site has been a great source of info (thanx to TSS for the buyers guide!)

I think I am swaying towards Crystal Topaz Reflex as a colour - look great IMO. Doeas anyone have any descent pictures or links of Tuscans in this colour that would help me decide???

Car is going to have to be 2nd hand, hope to be able to get a 2001 model, so would be good 2 know if there are any 2001 cars about in this colour!!

Finally, any tips for best colour interior to complement this colour...

Thanks, I'm off to polish my Poster....

Lady Topaz has a Tuscan in crystal topaz, there is a pic of it in her profile.

Now that picture nearly shows the colour...

...but you have to see it in the flesh.

Saw "TUS373"'s at Back Home. had never considered the colour as a serious contender until i saw it in the flesh!

Mind you, I said the same about the reflexes with GREEN in them! I hate GREEN cars!!! Love TVR's with green though

I had a crystal topaz tuscan a while ago, the interior was Nimbus and portland (basically light grey/cream, with darker stone/slate leather) the carpets and door trim were in flock (i think thats right) this is a light powder blue which closely matches the topaz paint, I though it looked really nice.

Good luck!

Tripps, has loads of decent pics of my Topaz beauty, but damned if I know where he's hidden them, Doh, you can always contact him through his profile,or I can ask him to email you. Great colour choice.

Excellent choice of colour if I might add...... As long as you don't mind the fact that Mrs Beckham choose the same colour for her husband's Cerbera!

My Tuscan "TUS 373" has cream and navy interior which is quite contrasty. I have navy leather inserts on the doors with cream trim around. (The only car with leather inserts I am told by the factory - but no doubt someone else will turn up with one to prove that this fact is wrong!).

Beano is right - the colour is difficult to capture faithfully on camera because it varies dramatically depending on the light. I like the colour because I think it really suits the car's shape but is not too OTT. Its still not for shy retiring types though - and its good for selling on.

In sunlight:

In softlight:

And inside (prior to retrim):

Wow...

I can't believe the 2 pics above are of the same car!!

Having only ever seen Topaz in "soft" light, & never in the flesh - the effect in sunlight is definately eyecatching !!

& there was me trying to be subtle!!

Def the colour 4 me -ta!!!

excellent choice, ours is as one of the other interiors, lovely light blue and portland interior. husband had his heart set on the gts viper blue until we saw the topaz in a showroom. interior does make hell of a difference to the car.

eventually decided on our crystal topaz after doing a complete circuit of the M25 to be 100% sure, the amount of comments i have had about the colour inside and out, it was getting almost embarassing, but you pay all that money so might as well have something that stands out.

we will be at pistonhead meeting on sunday if you want to have a good look round her, reg V9 JLW, feel free if you are there.

hope you find the one you want
