Where really is the RED line??
Discussion
The 4.0 Tuscan develops 360bhp @ 7000rpm the default setting for the red shift light is also 7000rpm however "autocars" road test used 7200rpm as a change point so the way i look at it is, if you change when the red light comes on in the lower gears it will probably be doing around 72/7300 rpm when the next cog is engaged? Your NTLworld.com I couldn't get to. Mine was finger follower Probs, so I've posted a thread for this.
Fingers crossed, but if your start's to use alot of oil then it’s the start of bad things, be it worn valve guides or Finger stuff. Either of which is head off stuff and warranty companys saying P**s off...
Drive it and enjoy it the summer is here!!!!!!

The 4.0 litre engine, standard, RR and S, I would suggest there is no need to rev above 7000rpm. On my RR the rev limiter kicks in at 7300rpm, on the couple of occasions I have not changed quickly enough.
Over revving is not good for any engine.
The 3.6 is different and I think rev's higher, I'm sure the tomato boys will tell us exactly...
