Credit where credit due.....or on the contrary
Discussion
Having read through many threads you begin to see a picture of who to deal with for sales, service and assistance of TVR's. Whilst I understand that principal of the "don't name and shame" policy. It make it hard for new comers like myself to find the best sources for assistance. Could a rating system be introduced that would award those who truely offer a quality service and would be a great guide for present and future owners (myself included). I am sure the folks at PH could invent something that would allow us to "post" a score to individuals or companies used. Maybe in return PH could obtain revenue from them for being included in the list (at their own risk). Anyway sorry for the long post you must all be asleep by now.
Philip,
It's an area fraught with difficulties unfortunately. I've heard both good and bad stories about every dealer and TVR specialist in the country. There are two sides to every story and some of the loudest complaints I've heard from customers can be seen from a very different perspective on occasions.
If we introduced a rating system then the dealers might want a rating system for customers too
The best means of ascertaining where to go for help is to ask. If you get dozens of responses recommending a certain supplier then that's usually a good indicator. If someone pipes up that they aren't happy with the service from a supplier then email them via their profile to find out why and make up your own mind.
Sorry if I'm appearing unhelpful but the commercial/legal/moral issues associated with rating businesses in a forum such as this are too complex to deal with.

I appreciate your comments. Most of my businesses are based purely on customer services so I know that the customer is not always right. I'll take your view on board and contact the Forum whenever I have a question or doubt...hope you all don't mind.
P.S. If I don't get a Tuscan next week there will be tears.
