Sorry to sound like a right numpty but how do i tell whether my car har full or half hide? on the chim it was obvious the centre console and door trim was obviously vinyl on the Tuscan it looks very much like leather to me but the handbook says 1/2 hide? any ideas? TONY

If you can't see it - it's definitely full hide.

The grain in the real leather is far less pronounced, also it will state in the hand book whether it is full hide or not (well at least it does in mine!)...

If all else fails you can call the factory with the chassis number and they'll tell you...

Should be able to see the underneath of the material either side of the slit where the handbrake is. Can easily see here if it is leather of vinyl.

T88can and RichB - the comment I made was meant to be helpful as well as a bit witty.

It had a double meaning -

1) if you can't see it, i.e. the difference in the materials, then it probably is full hide (or doesn't matter as it's the looks that count), and

2) also the pun on the word hide.

Sometimes a simple witticism says more than a speech.

Was last over in March to sought out some business for my late father spent many a holiday in Newcastle my family over there used to own Burren Farm which now lies in a very run down state also have relatives in Clough/Dundrum and Downpatrick yes small world and it may just cost you a drink or two next time im over Tony
