Coming back from the Gym last night, stopped at the lights and heard a bloody awful noise coming from the car...I reckon the ole' followers have gone.

Managed to coast the car back to my place which, luckily was only half a mile- but the car sounded like a sowing machine...ouch!

Just hope it's nothing more serious- she's getting collected today.

How long, typically do the finger followers take to correct? The car was going in for the pod to be removed for a trip to Blackpool anyway next week so hope it doesn't take any longer than that!

Not sure about finger followers but my experiences with the factory are good. I had a heater control box in my Griff go back that was rebuilt and returned in a week and most recently my Tuscan throttle bodies went back and were returned in 3 days.

The throttle bodies I got back were new but they did get the old ones and do what they needed to do to find out the rework had already been performed before deciding to send out new ones.

I know other folks haven't been as satisfied but that's my experience for you...

Cheers

4 weeks minimum for a top end I reckon. If it's an engine jobbie it may go to TVR power not Blackpool. When does the factory close down for the summer ? They'll all be at Le Mans as well don't forget!

Editted to say it might not be something serious! Maybe an ancilliary bit gone wrong ?

What the whole factory are going to Le Mans? I guess it would be nice for Peter to lay on some tents and a coach or two for those who wanted to go!
