Swordfish Tuscan
Discussion
Watched Swordfish again last night for the first time in about a year and I just had to come on here and congratulate you all on owning the sexiest cars EVER made!
Hopefully I'll be in your gang within the next 6-12 months and be joining you at future meets (if not then Badapple might and I'll tag along with him).
If any of you are in S.Wales any time soon and feel the need for some wide-eyed admiration then let me know.
Thanks, DD
p.s. how many of you actually bought your cars after seeing the one in the film and just had to have one?

I recall that someone here does indeed own one of the Swordfish cars. I have an old copy of Top Gear talking about those cars though. It said the stuntmen did not exactly let the engines warm up before bouncing them off the rev limiter. I hope his car is OK. (Hopefully not the one with the bullet holes!).
I saw the one of the Tuscans used in the film at Shane Fearns in Manchester. Apparently he swapped it for his new Cerbera with the factory as Cerby was giving major problems and the Tuscan had just come back from filming. It was the one used for photo shoots with John Travolta and not the ones used in the stunts.

W998 AFR! as I remember. It was parked up at Racing Green a couple of weeks ago.
I own one of them. 3 were used in the film, 1 with the bullett holes which I understand was not a fully built car, My own (Y271 XBV) was used for all the driving shots. W998 ABR was used for all the close up work.
Point of interest thinking of putting mine up for sale this year. Not sure what value it adds to sit where JT has sat? Would appreciate any input on best place to sell it!

I've got W998 AFR (login name change recently), so it was me at Racing Green a couple of weekends ago.
I guess the additional price on the car is pretty subjective. Personally I love the history of my car & I'll concede that it probably cost me an extra grand or so for the priviledge. I love the colour and the interior though, so I'd have paid over the odds for that.
I didn't buy mine because of the film, but I remember thinking the car was gorgeous when I saw the film originally. I bought mine because I'd made the mistake of going in for a test-drive & I'm weak-willed ! When they told me the actual swordfish car was out back & about to be for sale, all my carefully prepared resistance disappeared
(Glad it did though - I adore my Tuscan! )

I remember seeing Tiff throwing one around with one of the stunt-drivers teaching him some stuff. Could find any copies of the movies on the net when I looked for it though (after I'd bought the car & was wondering how thrashed it's been ..
Any chance I can get a copy of the movie from somewhere?

I got it from Kazza, did a searc for Tuscans
Failing that id its not too big (under 55Meg) i could up load it to my so called free webspace with NTL. give it a search first and let me know.
I got a 14" x 11" print off ebay of JT sitting on the roof of the Tuscan firing at the baddies, no make that goodies cos he's a baddy. It's the car with all the holes in it, only thing that lets it down is that you can see the cable running into the boot that detonates the charges in the body. There was a large poster available when the film came out, anyone got one spare? I think it's a bl00dy good film, Halle Berry and the Tuscan make it even better.
Any other starring roles lined up? I heard/read somewhere there might be one in the new Italian Job film, with no Mini's only BMW's filmed in USA!
Cheers Al.
