Development work continues although the date for road cars seems to have been put back again. I wouldn't expect to see any customer cars until later in the summer.
Word is that more teams want race cars though and TVR themselves appear to favour the R over the Speed 12 for their own team.

I saw the Purple Tuscan R road car on Tuesday - it was parked up outside the factory but it was clear that it was being used as a road car (it was registered, parked on the road and filthy dirty) - interestingly I was not allowed to take a photo of it (despite having seen it in public at the PowerTours meetings???).
I was on a factory tour and was told I couldn't go into the development area as the Tuscan R was being developed in there.
A couple of months back I had a conversation with BS at Brands hatch and he told me that if you wanted a 'race spec' road version you could probably have it in Q1 next year. However it was going to take considerably longer to develop the 'road spec' road car as they need to develop the creature comforts and improve on the noise suppression, ride etc.
So I guess we may start seeing them sometime next summer.
However what about the rumour about the V10 version?

Does anyone has any clue on the Tuscan R engine (ie capacity,power output)?
I read 450hp somewhere but it seems to me rather optimistic for its reliability (well actually I'm not sure if it has any incidence on it...).
By the way, is really the quest for reliability responsible for the current speed six size being reduced from 4.0l to 3.6l ?
