door problems

Left the car out overnight--chucked it down for most of it--now the drivers door only opens when it feels like it--the window rolls down but the door latch doesn't click open. The passengers door is fine.--there must be a relay just behind the ashtray as I can hear it clicking. Any ideas? As I said ,it does work occasionally .

thanks for the reply--the passengers door has now stopped working -the drivers door works when it feels like it--one moer question--where are the encoders
