We know that TVR is using a lot of VW Ford and Rover parts for the Tuscan. Is there a recent list about the secrets of TVR

A list with the original source. f.e mirror (source VW Corrado), steeringarm-ends (from a Ford Granada?) Gearbox (Ford Mustang?)

My Lotus Elan plus 2 has a lot of non Lotus parts. It helps if the alternatives are known

In the Tuscan is a lot" made by TVR" but also some hidden parts from other carproducers but who are they?

Would be very handy to have a reference list of this type.
It would make obtaing these parts easier/faster as you wouldnt have to wait for TVR to get back to you.

Electric boot switch is from Ford Puma
Carbon fuel box is also Ford item
Side repeaters are Peugeot 206
Wiper/ indicator switchgear is GM

Will add and update as I remember more!

The plastic numberplate lights are a stock item in the Hella book of 2007. (page 5.102, art nr, 2KA004331061) Petrol pump is from a BMW and the petrol filter also.

If everybody adds something we know, it will be very helpfull.

There is a similar thread on the T350/Tamora/Sagaris forum where it has been suggested creating a website where common parts could be added/searched

http://www.pistonheads.com/xforums/topic.asp?h=0&a...

Waiting to see if there is any interest in this, could easily add Tuscan's, Cerbera's, etc if there was sufficient interest.

I've had my oil pressure sensor and speed sensor replaced a while ago.

One of them at least is coming from a VW Golf, according to my dealer, but I can't remember which one out of the two. I'll check when I'm around his place next time...

Does anyone know where the large lock nuts that go round the wiper columns (securing the scuttle panel) come from?

I've foolishly lost mine and cant find replacements. frown

TVR I am afraid and only from Don at power. The discs are made by AP but he has the rights.

I wonder if anyone ever found an answer to this question?

While changing the wiper arms on a 2002 Tuscan, I decided to update the perished wiper wheel box washers that fit under the large locknuts (26mm socket) and under the wiper arms.

One of the big nuts has been mullered in the past and I've had to wreck it to remove. A problem is I can't find a suitable replacement.

Does anyone on here know the specification of the nut and/or which wiper motor TVR fitted. A Lucas model, perhaps?

Thanks for any information.
