Spotted in Colchester
Discussion
Could possibly be me! I live in Ipswich and have a black 2003 (03 reg) Tuscan. Not seen any others around Ipswich yet... It is my only car and always out and about in it!
I wasn't in Colchester though so that was obviously another car.
Nice to know it still catches peoples attention!

Hi Pete
I didn't see the plate on the Ipswich spot at all.
It was in the day Friday going round the Willis building roundabout (intersection of civic drive and princes street). Came from an easterly direction to turn right up princes street north towards the town centre. I work in an office on the south side of that roundabout and I happened to be standing up by the window at the time and got a lovely view of the Tuscan blasting round the roundabout. Looked very planted and grippy for a Tuscan. Sound like you at all?
Can't wait for mine. Had a phone call today saying still two weeks at a guess

Yup, that sounds like it was me! Was going in to town around lunchtime... Love the Willis building as I can see the reflection of my car as I cruise in to town! Normally park in the Buttermarket, about 4 times now, and touch wood, has not been touched when parked up for several hours! Also sounds lovely when driving around the Buttermarket car park!
My car seems really grippy and loves round-abouts, don't tend to go too banzai around the ones in town for obvious reasons but on quieter, medium sized ones can easily get up to 50 or 60mph without feeling worried at all that it will lose grip! It is very poised and even when it does oversteer etc is very easy to catch and handle!
Doesn't 'snap' at all but more of a gradual slide of the back that you can either correct or hold on the exit of round-abouts if you want a flash exit! Just slide out sideways and power away with everyone oh-ing and ah-ing! Not that I would condone that sort of behaviour of course!
Best car I have ever owned! Good luck with yours and I will keep my eye out for it!

Hi Pete
You sound really happy with it. I hope you posted on the handling thread what fun you have!
The other Pete
I stayed at the Marks Tey hotel quite a few years back. It's quite nice, once you get inside (IIRC), don't be put off by the 60's brick square exterior. Safe journey home.

Hi all,
Sorry to see that I could have seen 2 more TVR's while in Colchester. At least once a year I visit the UK with my V8S, so next time I'll "warn" you again. Colchester is much nicer to stay than Harwich, so probably will stay in Marks Tey or the George in central town.
Thanks,
Peter.

I live in Colchester (35 years man & boy) and to date have only seen 1 Silver Tuscan a couple of weeks back 9am ish on the road between Tollgate & the Zoo (past the gravel pit) so where are you hiding them?
Cerberas 2 Tuscans 1 - So as I am looking for the right car how about a hand hold from a kindly neighbour?????
P.S. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE tell me your either much older than me (having given you more time to save) or else you've all won the lottery or else I 'm definately gonna feel even more inferior than I do now!

Mate you should get yourself along to the next Mid Essex TVR Car Club which is held at Great Totham (www.midessextvrcc.co.uk) Usually about 40-60 TVRs for you to look at. If you are looking to buy a TVR joining the car club is a good start.

And yes - I am the wrong side of 40
Funny that - Mr Big is thinking of selling the Rover to buy a Saab 95 - he wont part with his Griffith tho' - ever.
tvrdrool said: we should organise a program like Channel 4's wife swap but for cars! I'll gladly hand over the Saab 95, Getting yours back might prove more difficult however.
I think tvrs are breeding in Colchester. I'm noticing now. Hello if you're reading to fellow Tuscan driver who came over to speak to me at Ipswich Road petrol station on Bank Holiday. Also twice spotted this week black tuscan, I think an 02 plate on north station road going under station bridge maybe a commuter? Any Colchester going to Le Mans this year?
