Racing green or Hawthorns?
Discussion
ive had my Tuscan for a couple of weeks now it comes with a spirit total warranty the car has a misfire which was diagnoised at TVR power as a short between the lambda sensor and the ECU now im aware of the "name and shame "policy im not looking for that im looking for opinions from Tuscaneers who have maybe used both of the above dealers bearing in mind the fault( code E ) TONY
Personally I've only ever used Hawthorns for servicing and always had good service. It helps having been a faithful customer for 4 years. I did visit Racing Green on a Sunday a few weeks back just to have a look and if first impressions count I wasn't impressed by the quality of the TVRs in the showroom. They just weren't prepared to the standard I'd seen in Hawthorns - for example a 2 year old Tamora had two badly kerbed wheels, worn rear tyres and the passenger seat stitching was coming adrift. Not a good advert. Now I can't comment on their servicing ability but the mere fact that their showroom cars weren't great would make me think twice about using them for servicing - that's just my opinion.
Hi Tony, it would be good to see the "on the road" pics - thanks. The running in is going quite well (1700 and counting), but won't be putting much more on this weekend due to heavy golf (playing) and football (watching) commitments !
So, no Goodwood for me I'm afraid, but I am going to Silverstone later this month and (after some wavering) have signed up for the Driving Skills Day in July - maybe see you at one of those ? Cheers, Max

Tony,
My opinion Racing Green because the guys are TVR focused. Hawthornes I believe have a problem with the PGI association.

I haven't used Hawthorns but Racing Green are very professional and will take a bit of time to talk about *your* car which is nice!
Also, if you have £150+VAT lying about, they can do a laser wheel alignment which seriously improves the handling of a Tuscan.
It sure as hell made mine feel better!
