Fallen heater ECU

The heater ECU has just fallen onto the legs of the passenger I was showing off my 4 week old toy to.
Once again TVR choose to fasten it with glued on fury carpet and velcro.
Why in gods name they can't do something a little more permenant I don't know but any good ideas or tips for fastening it back?

Already you had the car for 4 weeks..I remember that you just had it like it was yesterday..God time do go bloody quick!

OK, I've stick the fluffy pad back on with some f*&k off epoxy resin glue.

That should sort the thing out, but why can't the factory? Rather poor on a £45k car.

So ok, I've stuck the fluffy pad back onto the car and it's OK.

But the ECU gets hot so now the Velcro has come un-stuck off the case.

This is really crap.

Zip-tie it to something?

(dunno where - my Tuscan hasn't arrived yet!)

So having paid £45,000 for my new car I then have to stick bits of it back on with glue and tie-wraps.

Just how crap is that? I'm really quite jeffed off about it, especialy when it's so simple and they get so many more complex bits so right.

Bertie, OK so you've made a point, and got some replies nuff said. My suggestion would be to return it to your dealer and let them sort it. You seem like a "dealer-does-it-all" sort of guy rather than a "Sunday mornings doing the TLC" chap.

Just one more thing, I'm very much a sort it out kind of guy, having built 2 kitcars and love nothing more than tinkering in the garage.

Just not on my brand new car!

Don't forget it is a TVR...
You should have known these are used to falling to pieces:it's part of TVR ownership I guess (but I still think they're the best cars in the universe)
