Anyone else had their wipers do the splits?. Seems like maybe the connecting rod has come adrift.
I'll take the bonnet off tommorow and have a look.
Until then it's off into town for VRB mayhem

Donald,
Just as I thought-----the rod is tubular, and is supposed to be crimped onto the wiper arm joint. This had come adrift, so it was just a case of forcing it back on.
No doubt it'll come off again, so I'll either use some kind of bonding agent, or crimp it with the machine I use to make hoses

Did exactly the same on mine - unfortunately the arm pushed the bonnet up and crazed the paintwork
Expensive. I took it to Racing Green and they sorted it for me by adding a bolt to the push fit mechanism - all FOC. I might add.

Jez,
That's another option----dril through the tube/insert, and bolt it
