On locking my Tuscan S sometimes the window rises to about 70% of its height and I get four beeps and the alarm is armed. The I have to disarm the alarm and try again. Sometimes the window fully closes and the alarm is set and other times it stays in the same state. It can take three or four goes to fully lock the car.

On unlocking the car, the window falls to about half way and on opening the door the window fully opens. On closing the door the window rises to the half-way position.

Now I'm still under warranty but does anyone know a fix?

Sounds like a door encoder problem, they need re-locating & encapsulating to prevent water getting into them.

Both door encoders were replaced on my car (9 months old) - moisture I assume.

The four bleeps from the alarm - whats all that about then? Sometimes mine does it and sometimes it doesn't (bleep that is). Is there meaning to it, or is it another gremlin? Haven't noticed a pattern to it yet.

I had the same problem with the windows - it was the door encoders and they must have got damp as when they dried out, the problem disappeared.
As far as the alarm is concerned - I think two flashes means the internal movement sensor is on, and 4 flashes means it is off - for when the roof is down. To get 4 flashes and beeping, you have too hold down the button for more than 2 seconds.

I think "they all do that sir"! Mine is totally random, only beeps when it feels like it. As long as the lights flash correctly assume it's OK.

Normally the car bleeps if you lock it within 30 seconds of the car being opened.

Try it and see if I'm right!

It actually bleeps if you lock it before the interior light goes out ,or the boot/door is left open, it's warning you that that circuit is then disabled.

Thanks everybody for the contributions. I think a quiet word at the factory will do for me
