MY baby is bath shy. Gave it the usual makeover today prior to Sat trundle. 2 miles from home, not even warmed up yet and right hand fan kicks in. Now on all the time when ignition on. Rang dealer who reckons water has gone down bonnet channel and dripped onto temp sensor. Solution, take out fuse! He reckons they normally cover sensor with vaseline at service, but what a stupid place to put a sensor.
Anyone else experienced this.

Simon, now you've deleted all yr replies, i look like a nutter talking to myself!! I mean that the cans point upwards and when rinsing with hose, it's inevitable to get water down them, when rinsing off the rear end (lets not go there!!)

I shouldn't worry about getting water in the odd hole at bath time! You just have to point a hose away from that particular opening
(yes, it's started again!)

getting back to the thread - where is the sensor ? next to or on the rad or by the fans?

Neither - it's apparantly half way down the long bonnet, nicely positioned for any water to run down the channel and drip onto sensor.
