My dealer tells me I can order a standard (Not S) Tuscan with either a 3.6 or a 4.0 litre engine at no extra cost although this is going to change in the future with all non S cars being fitted with a 3.6.

Is this true ?

Yes - but they have been saying that for the last 2 years.

If so, surely the 4.0 is the one to go for since it will be more desireable in three years time when the time comes to trade it in. Agreed ? Or have I missed something here ?

Maybe - some prefer the higher rev / lower torque characteristics of the 3.6 . I prefer the 4.0 - it will feel faster.

Cheers,

4.0L is alot torquer and more likely to catch you out.

3.6l is more refined and revier but easier to drive.

drive both and see what you like.

I now have a T350C and initially missed the instant torque at low revs on the 4.0l in my tuscan but now quite enjoy the 3.6l.
