Directions/times for Sunday's run to the Oak
Discussion
RE-EDITED TO SAY - Sunday's weather now looks fine. See you at the Oak
---
Ok, let's get some bits confirmed.
I propose that we meet at the Royal Oak at 1-2pm. (1ish for people who want lunch or want to drool over other people's cars, with a 2 o'clock-ish driving start time) The address is:
Aldershot Road in Pirbright, GU24 0DQ.
To get there, get yourself onto the M3, and then it's like this (according to rac.co.uk):
Exit @ Jct. 3 of M3
Straight ahead to ROUNDABOUT in direction of A322
1st exit @ next ROUNDABOUT into A322
2nd exit @ ROUNDABOUT into B380
Right into A324 (Aldershot Rd.)
Arrive at THE ROYAL OAK
Then, post-pub, I would suggest we head south on the A3 (no cameras on that stretch) and then take either the B3001 or A287 or A325 up towards Farnham (depending on how long we want the route to be), then back to the A31 to the A3 north. I love driving on the A3 in my TVR!
This is all just based on me looking at a map, so if anyone actually knows the area and has a better route in mind I certainly won't be offended if you suggest an alternative!!
I know that pubman said the earlier the better, but a couple of people coming (Noble and Tamora - oops sorry, Mark and Jackie!) can't be at the pub until 2pm, and I'd really like them to be able to join us, which is why I've suggested 1-2 , so that anyone who wants to eat, drink or just be merry has some time before we hit the road at 2.
Is that cool with everyone?
It would be nice if we could warn Geoff (pubman) of how many hungry mouths might be arriving perhaps...
Jez, Robkola and anyone else from my 'hood - I think I'm going to take the A4 to the A316, which goes through Richmond. Do you want to meet somewhere and do the M3 onwards in convoy?

My salty friend here is correct - weather now looks fine of both days, if a little warmer on Sunday.
Now I've thoroughly confused everyone (me included...) how about we stick to the original plan and do SUNDAY 13th? 13 is my lucky number you see.
I will post a new thread to confirm, and PM everyone who showed an interest...
