I think its about time somebody looked at the possibilities of shoehorning an aluminium small block in to their speed six. With this engine one would get reliability, power and sound. I know the US engine is fairly big and heavy and isn't a revmeister but it will rev the bottom end out of Griff500 for all that is worth .
If it fits the chassis the swap should be fairly easy.
Imagine a 10 year old Tuscan with 100K miles on the clock and still 450BHP like the day it was built!

The chassis was engineered for a straight six, not a V8 so there could be problems there.

I always wondered what the 4.0 6 in my Jeep Cherokee would be like in a small light sportscar as it pulls the Jeep bodyshell like a train for a car of its size & weight.

My suggestion is the engine of an old BMW M5 (3.5l or 3.8l), that would be nice!!!

If BMW is good enough for Morgan...

Nope, can't see PW ever doing that!

i wonder how similar the engines are, if you compare the BMW engine with the speed 6. why PW has not copied the bmw engine which they used in the old M5? (that would have been much cheeper and much more reliable).

Apparently :

"After BMW bought Land Rover they spoke to TVR and offered them any engine they wanted but increased the price to such a level it was uneconomical and that is why P.Wheeler developed the s6 engine from first thought into production in 18 months."

I wonder if TVR would sell you a Tuscan without engine and gearbox. I find mr. Wheeler extremely brave as I know the labour and the engineering hours that goes into developing an engine.
I admit the expensive BMW engine is probably better suited, all you need to find now is a totalled m-roadster with an intact driveline.
As for my beloved Chevy lump, the Cerbera is probably where it belongs, but can the chassis cope with all that torque.
