How loud are these cans!!!!!!!!!!!

Just had my carbon cans fitted, and the roof is coming of the car on the way home to get the maximum effect. They are fantastically loud. Reminds me of the XR2 Mk1 I had at 18 with the large bore PECO exhaust system I had!!!!!!!.

Now for a cr@p bit…

Kwick Fit… Went into my local and said I had a couple of exhaust cans could they please fit them, was told to see the manager. He just said, NO don’t do that, not even a look to see what needed happening just said NO. Complete numptie, and a complaint letter going off to head office recommending that this guy go on a customer care course…

So off I drive down the road, NEVER to buy anything from these people again.

AA. They are apart of Halfords building, so I walk in show then my membership and say, “I need a favour”. Explain the situation and they were so helpful, car was up on the ramps and 30 minutes later cans on and a free inspection of the car and pointed out a slight oil leak from the oil return pipe, which had also been pointed out by the TVR centre. Fantastic people. Well Done AA…

Blimey - A thumbs up for Alcoholics Anonymous!

Seriously, I think it's down to the people when youu're dealing with AA, RAC and the like - sometimes you get real gems!

As for the other mob - cleverly disguised by mis-spelling to fool Ted and ensure you don't get binned for naming and shaming I see - I am Well, put it this way, would you go to McDonalds for edible food?

...and to prove what a good design the Tuscan is, I've just swapped mine back over to the standard cans for day to day driving. Took about 5 minutes per side - slid on / off very easily. Bet you can't go on from full on sports exhaust to smooth 6 cylinder humm exhaust on any other car!

The guy was even good enough to copper grease the joints and clamps so I could switch to my original cans whenever I like.

Yep 5 min job and back to normality. Hey, I might even unbolt them when washing the car just to polish them

What options on manufacturers are there and is there much difference in price and the end result, also does this have any adverse effect on performance or the reliability of the engine bearing in mind how delicate it is. Is there anyone near Norfolk who has these fitted, i'd like to hear these for real.

Carbon Can Co, Speak to Simon 01253 877900
sales@carboncan.co.uk
The prices are as follows:

Stainless Steel £277.50
Single Colour £327.50
Two Colour £367.50
Coloured Titanium £487.50

I went for the Single Colour ones as the blue was a good match to my car. If you sent Simon a .jpg he will also look at the colour of your car and tell you the best colour. For Coloured ones it takes a 2 days turnaround, stainless steel were in stock.

Buy them now, release the noise, its as good as a v8 anyday, and I have had a v8 TVR

Has anyone done a comparison between the Carbon Can cans, and the HHC ones? Just wondering if there was much difference in the sound...

Do these cans have any negative effects on the engine.
