Roof panel blues
Discussion
Twice now when putting panel back on ended up gouging surround.Only idea I can think of is to carry some pvc tape and putting on by each rear lock then at least paintwork protected and tape easily removed. Has anyone any alternatives? Also I carry ablanket in boot to prop lid on. Might look stupid but at least saves expensive scratches. NB niether roof scratch was me in case you think I am cackhanded
I think there has been a few slight re-designs of the Tuscan roof panel,on mine the tubes where the pins locate are covered in a rubber like material & this prevents scratching of the surround, I also find it helps to keep the front seal clean to help the front lip of the roof to slide in eaiser then you don't end up catching the rear of the roof on the surround. Also I have put a velcro strip on the front face of the surround where the plastic strip on the roof catches otherwise you find the paint wears off in time & it's another possible squeaky area.
